VEGA manufactures sensors that measure inventory in silos and tanks. VEGA has the capability to transmit the inventory information to a cloud-based portal where operations, dispatch, and plant personnel can view all the monitored plants in real-time in order to make smarter, more strategic decisions regarding replenishment. This solution enables more plants to be sufficiently stocked with fewer trucks and drivers while eliminating inventory events.

VEGA Americas is a manufacturer of level and pressure sensors that are used for a variety of applications within the heavy building materials industry. Of note, VEGA manufactures sensors that measure inventory in tank and silos. Common application with the RMC and HMA industry are cementitious silos and asphalt tanks, respectively. Other applications include Pig/Guppy silos, HMA silos, chemical additive, diesel tanks, etc.

VEGA offers solutions to view the measurements locally via displays or local controllers for improved process control. Separately, the measured vessel inventory can be transmitted to a cloud-based portal where all monitored plants can be viewed in a unified view from computer or smart device. Operations, dispatch, and plant personnel can leverage the real-time, physically measured inventory information in order to ensure all plants are sufficiently stocked during peak demand while also mitigating the risk of an inventory event.

With the Connected Partner program and Command Cloud, producers can now easily integrate real-time, physically measured inventory information into their centralized production demand system. This data integration enables raw material needs to be further vetted by normalizing the raw material needs of each plant against its upcoming productions schedule. Fully utilized, this refined information can have significant impact on improving hauling efficiency.
